Q: Why was EduCare training developed?
A: Although EduCare was developed by seasoned healthcare experts, the training program started out of desperation. In the absence of quality assisted living on-demand training, increasing nursing shortages, high staff turnover rates, and shrinking operational budgets, Mirabelle knew that there had to be a better way. So they developed a better way called EduCare. Although they started with assisted living and memory care curriculum, today EduCare offers comprehensive curriculum for home care and skilled nursing facilities as well.

Q: Who develops the training modules?
A: EduCare uses subject matter experts to develop and facilitate the information in each module. If regulatory statutes require that subjects are facilitated by a RN, we follow suit to avoid any gray area during surveys and ensure compliance. Narrators are not used in the EduCare training. We also believe that subject matter experts bring real
life examples and experiences to the training, adding interest and practical application. Experts are chosen from all disciplines including nursing, therapy, administration, emergency management, maintenance, staffing, dining services, and more. Modules are also reviewed by an expert panel of nurses, executives, and attorneys.

Q: How are the training modules delivered?
A: EduCare offers two delivery systems for you: DVD or eLearning. You may choose one delivery method or both, providing flexible learning opportunities for your employees. Some people are computer savvy – others are not. Some organizations offer training in a group setting – others prefer one-on-one training. Regardless of the delivery method, the information can be customized to your organization and available to employees on the night shift, on the weekend, or even at home. Accessibility of training is essential to produce excellent results. Providing the training program in a variety of delivery methods for you will increase usage and make your employees at all levels comfortable.

Q: How do you verify learning and competency?
A: Each module comes equipped with a competency evaluation to assess knowledge. Some modules also require a skill demonstration and assessment. All assessments can be used to “test-out” seasoned employees.

Q: Are the modules interactive?
A: Select modules come with pre-training worksheets to help generate thought and add real-life experience to the subject matter. We also use various activity-based and observation techniques throughout the modules to engage the participant, ensure understanding, and apply adult-learning principles.

Q: Do the training programs meet regulatory compliance requirements?
A:
We are confident that the training presented meets all of the guidelines and regulatory requirements for each type of licensure. In fact, EduCare users have been surveyed and praised for the comprehensive nature of the training provided for the employees. The material is developed and reviewed by industry experts to ensure compliance and best practice teaching methods and monitored weekly by a regulatory compliance attorney.

Q: Are the modules customized to reflect our policies/procedures and best practices?
A: One of the greatest benefits of the EduCare training program is the customization feature of the program. Mirabelle executives meet with you to fully customize your curriculum. You supply the information, we do the work. For example, when an EduCare user chooses the Dining & Nutrition module, we ask a series of questions including operating license, staff responsibilities, menu development and implementation, special diets, and meal times and snacks. Once the information is gathered, Mirabelle blends your information into the core content where appropriate to maximize the participant’s experience and understanding.

Q: What is your customer service and support for your clients?
A:
Mirabelle is available and responsive to you 24/7 with no fee for the service support. You may call or email us directly with any question or concern. There is no question that goes unanswered and no problem that is unsolvable. Our commitment to service, integrity, and quality is our priority and will not be compromised by volume or resources.

Q: How often is the training updated?
A: We update the curriculum as necessary to reflect changes in regulation and best practices and will automatically circulate new material to our clients. In addition, we update the curriculum any time a client requests a change or update. All of the annual updates are benefits of the program and do not bring additional expense to you. Mirabelle's desire is to create a training program that never becomes obsolete.

Q: How does EduCare save my organization money and improve bottom line performance?
A:
Training Development, Maintenance, and Facilitation: Mirabelle knew that it was costly and overwhelming to expect leadership staff to develop and maintain training programs not to mention facilitate it with every new employee at hire and annually for in-services. By using EduCare, we take the burden and expense out of
development, maintenance, and facilitation for all your training needs. With EduCare, we do it for you!

Decrease Overtime: With a comprehensive program to meet all of your training needs for new employee orientation, employees can be trained more quickly and fill schedule gaps before too much overtime occurs. In addition, the annual training programs allow staff to utilize down-time on their shift to receive training credits rather than scheduling in-service hours and incurring overtime. Watch your bottom line grow as you find creative ways to deliver training.

Q: How does EduCare improve client satisfaction?
A: By delivering key information to every employee in a consistent manner using adult learning principles, the service will improve. The facilitators are experts in the area they teach bringing real life examples to the training. When presenting each subject matter – the facilitators “tell them,” through narration “show them,”through video and photos, and assess competency. With EduCare, your staff is better prepared to do their jobs and are more confident in their service delivery. The result – improved customer satisfaction.

Q: How long is the contract term for EduCare training?
A: EduCare offers flexible contract terms. Although other companies mandate long-term contracts, we provide a choice of one, two, or three year contracts. During that term, you can increase your usage without an automatic contract extension. EduCare currently has an annual contract renewal rate of 98% and 61% of our clients have increased usage during their contract term.

Q: Are there different pricing options available?
A:
EduCare offers three packages: Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
The Silver Program is ideal for companies that want a comprehensive curriculum at a very competitive, low price. The Gold Program, while still affordable, adds the client customization feature. The third option, Platinum, is for organizations that choose to add multiple layers of customization, have modules developed unique for their
organization, and want more operational support from Mirabelle.
